Intertops Software Overview
The Intertops poker software is functional and mostly error-free, but it’s not among the best poker clients out there. It has all the features you would expect to see, but it’s a bit basic in terms of additional frills. Still, there are a few interesting aspects to it.
Poker Tables
The Intertops tables are laid out well with the players’ user names, stack sizes and avatars clearly visible. There’s a chatbox in the bottom-left that you can detach on to a separate window if you choose. A link to the top-left allows you to bring up the last hand in the replayer, Right-clicking on the table lets you change the color scheme and a few other graphical options. A button toward the top-right of the table brings you to a seat at the first available spot in another table of the same type.
You can open up the notes interface by right-clicking on a players’ nameplate. You can type in your observations on the players and color code them into categories for easier identification going forward.
Poker Lobby
The poker lobby at Intertops is your gateway to the games you seek. The three main types of poker (Ring Games, Tournaments, and Sit and Go) are listed on the left-hand side. The top selectors allow you to view games of a certain type or specific stakes. Clicking on any of the lobby columns will sort the games by that statistic. Two radio boxes at the bottom permit you to hide full or empty tables for ring games and running/completed events in the SNG and MTT lobby.
An advanced filter exists to enable more sophisticated browsing through the offerings. Here, you can include or exclude tables with a specified number of seats, establish minimum and maximum stakes, select the type of poker you’re interested in and more.
Options
Opening up the “Options” window from the top lobby menu is how you customize your gaming experience. Cash Games
No Limit Hold’em, Pot Limit Omaha, and Pot Limit Omaha/8 stakes run from $0.02/$0.04 up to $10/$20. However, tables above the $0.50/$1.00 level tend to be deserted at most times of day. Usually, there are less than a dozen games actually going.
At Intertops, there are heads-up, six-max, eight-handed and nine-player ring games. The inclusion of tables that seat eight is a bit strange especially given the fairly low level of traffic at the room as a whole.

Sit & Go
Sit & gos at Intertops range from $0.25 to $200 buyins. There’s the expected mix of hypers, turbos and normal-speed contests. Games are present for NLHE, LHE, PLO, and PLO/8. Double-or-nothings are present and are called DoubleUps here. Table sizes are 2, 3, 6 and 8 entrants. There’s also a small number of multitable (12 and 18 seater) SNGs.
Despite the wide array of game types and buyin levels, only NL Hold’em sit-n-goes with buyins of $10 or less really fire up with any regularity.
Multi-Table Tournaments
The tournament schedule has dozens of competitions each day with most of them costing $11 or less to join. The largest daily event is the Sundowner, a $50 + $5 MTT that guarantees between $1,200 and $1,500 depending on the day of the week. On Sundays, the Sundowner entry cost drops to $20 + $2 while the prize pool increases to $4,500.
